A unit of “Sri venkateshwara charitable trust (SVCT)”
A home for children of life convicts or destitute children.
The Trust (SVCT) was established on 9th April, 1992 with “Social Service” as main objective. In the initial years, activities like feeding the poor, distribution of fruits and eatables to poor patients in hospitals were carried out. In July 2001 a home for senior citizens was started in the ground and first floors of a three storied building, situated at Bahadurpally cross roads, Hyderabad -500043.
During 2002, the Managing Trustee Sri P V Krishna Rao consulted many elders, friends and well wishers with an aim to start any unique social service activity. In this process a radical concept has emerged and took the shape of a Home for the Children of parents, rather both of whom or the only surviving parents are life convicts. This concept was recognized by many helping hands and strengthened the determination of Sri P .V.Krishna Rao and eventually turned in to reality. The home was inaugurated by retired Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court Sri. Lakshamana Rao. The home is the first of its kind in the country. Sri P.V,Krishna Rao dedicates most of his time for the children at the home and feels happy that he is fortunate enough to help to change the life of innocent children.

A part of the building also used as a senior citizen home that is run as non-profit under the trust. The children and the seniors nicely complement each other emotional needs.
